MCB hosts two free email lists on Groups.io — a secure, accessible email discussion platform. Whether you want casual conversation with fellow members or timely news about blindness issues in Missouri and beyond, our lists keep you connected.

Both lists are open to MCB members, local affiliates, and anyone in Missouri interested in blindness issues. Joining is simple and takes just two emails.

MCB-Chat

MCB-Chat is MCB's general discussion list — a friendly space for casual conversations, trivia, fun facts, anecdotes, and community connection. If you want to chat with fellow members about anything and everything, this is the list for you.

MCB-List is MCB's information and announcements list. It focuses on news, updates, and advocacy information relevant to the blind and visually impaired community in Missouri and across the nation. The list is moderated to keep content focused and relevant.

How to Subscribe

Joining an MCB email list takes just two simple steps. No account or password required — everything is done through your regular email program.

  1. Send a subscription email

    Open your email program and create a new, blank email (no subject line or body text needed). Address it to either MCB-Chat+subscribe@groups.io or MCB-List+subscribe@groups.io depending on which list you want to join. Then send it.

  2. Check your inbox for a confirmation email

    Within a few minutes, Groups.io will send a confirmation email to your address. This email verifies that you want to subscribe. Look in your inbox — or your spam/junk folder if you don't see it.

  3. Reply to confirm your subscription

    Simply reply to the confirmation email from Groups.io. You do not need to add any text — just hit Reply and Send. Once Groups.io receives your reply, your subscription is complete and you will begin receiving list messages.

Important: You must reply to the confirmation email. Sending the subscription email alone does not add you to the list. Groups.io requires you to confirm your address by replying to their confirmation message. If you do not receive the confirmation email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk mail folder and mark it as "not spam."

Unsubscribing

To leave a list at any time, send a blank email to the unsubscribe address:

You will receive a confirmation email; reply to complete your unsubscription.
