                         Tweets, Facebook friends and LinkedIn contacts - seems like everyone these days is spending at least some of their time on social networking sites. But even the savviest blind websurfers may feel left out of the phenomenon, given that none of these sites were designed with blind users in mind.

                        Imagine a World Without Books 

                         "When you are young, you don't always think about where things come from," Margaret Roman says reflectively. That began to change for her after reading Wind, Sand, and Stars because she desperately wanted to keep a copy. "It was the first time that it struck me...braille books were precious." 

                        After experiencing the joy of immersing herself in literature, Roman "became more and more aware about the braille literacy issue and began to pay attention to what National Braille Press is doing - particularly the scope and breadth of the material they put out despite the severe limitations they face."
