  Subject: [Mcb-board] Weekly Report

This report is somewhat late but, I decided it was better to send it late than never. Highlights of last week's and this week's activities are below:

  1. Participated in a Board of Directors Conference Call. The new job description for the administrative assistant was approved.
  2. Posted the open administrative assistant position on the Missouri-l list serv and on Missouri Career Source, the State of Missouri's Job Service site, and I have sent it to Beau to be posted on our Web site. In addition, I have contacted Sanford Brown and they have forwarded sent me several applicants. So far, I have received over 400 resumes in response to the ad.
  3. The new membership list was sent to ABC on March 8 (it is due on the 15th). Thanks, Eleanor, for a great job!
  4. We have received a few donations in memory of Mike Merrick, including $250 from The Lighthouse.
  5. Lowell held a second meeting with Mike Rohan regarding Missouri Foundation for Health grant funding for Board training. He also met with representatives from J. T. Clayton and Associates regarding proposed Board training.
  6. Lowell started research on sponsorship solicitation for the MCB Annual Convention.
  7. Lowell attended a St. Louis Planned Giving Association Seminar on Planned Giving for the Small Shop.
  8. Lowell presented a proposal to John Thompson, President of Lighthouse for the Blind for funding of MCB's Summer Camp Program.
  9. Lowell's continues working on the beep ball fundraiser and is drafting a special MCB brochure to be used for fundraising.
  10. I have started contacting applicants to schedule interviews.
  11. I am fairly certain all expense checks for MCB Legislative Days have been written and mailed.
  12. We received a thank you card and $50 donation as a result of Denny's visit to the Sorrento Springs Elementary School.
  13. I continue to work with William Hawkins and Mary Jo and Rickhoff to make sure that the bookkeeping chorse previously completed by Betsy are taken care of in an efficient and timely manner.

I will be out of the office on Thursday and Friday and Lowell will be out on Friday. Eleanor has kindly agreed to come in on Friday, which is normally her day off, to hold down the fort. Thank you Eleanor!
