Hi all. Today I tried to access the price cutter website.
http://www.pricecutteronline.com
I wanted to read the weekly adds, but the are not accessible to those of us with
screen readers. I called Pyramid Foods here in Springfield, which is the contact
number for the Price Cutter stores. I'm guessing they connected me with a tech there.
I asked why I was not able to access the adds on the site. He stated that the adds
were created in .jpg format, and the best option I had right now is to have someone
read the adds to me. So here are some questions I have for you all:
How many of you on these lists who live in the Southwest Missouri area would benenfit
from being able to read adds such as these online?
Do you have friends or acquaintances in the area who would like to have the accessible
adds?
What direction should I take to get the best results in solving our problem?
What can MCB do for me and others to advocate for accessibility in situations like
this?
Believing that advocacy is one of the reasons for the existence of MCB, and ACB,
do you all think there would be a use for an advocacy committee of some type here
in Missouri?
I look forward to your input on this matter. Thanks in advance.
Linda C.
