Title Profile: Everyday Activities to Promote Visual Efficiency: A Handbook for Working With Young Children with Visual Impairments by Ellen Trief and Rona Shaw
Most infants and toddlers who are visually impaired have some functional vision that they will be able to use for everyday activities and that can be used to support their learning and development. Early intervention services are essential for these children to help them use their vision with maximum effectiveness, right from the start. Everyday Activities provides simple activities that can be incorporated easily by families and service providers into the everyday routines of a baby or child to facilitate early visual development and use of functional vision. The book is available for $45.95 from AFB Press. To order, call 1-800-232-3044 or go to www.afb.org/store.

            AFB Press News
The last few months have been a time of change for AFB Press. In November, our New York headquarters moved to its new location at 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1102 in New York City.

AFB Press said farewell to our longtime Sales and Marketing Manager, Sharon Baker-Harris. Over the years, Sharon's diligent work at AFB Press has been invaluable in making AFB the leader in online sales in the visual impairment field. We wish Sharon luck in her future endeavors!

We welcomed two new members to our AFB Press staff - Anne Durham as Sales and Marketing Manager and Rachel Newberry as Publishing Associate. Anne will be working to get the word out about AFB Press and JVIB and Rachel will be helping you with your customer service questions and comments. Anne and Rachel are both located at the AFB office in Huntington, West Virginia and can be reached by calling 212-502-7640 or e-mailing afbpress at afb.net.
