Speakers
Robert Fishbone was a successful large-scale, outdoor muralist when he got a “crazy idea” to expand his art. Starting with Edward Munch’s famous painting “The Scream,” Robert learned the ropes by making one mistake after another, meanwhile growing a company known worldwide for museum products and other art-related gift items. Using his skills as a storyteller and musician, Robert takes his audience on an entertaining journey. From his bestselling book Selling The Scream, to his lively program, Robert inspires artists with “tips and steps to becoming successful with YOUR crazy idea.” He talks about the problems he faced and the innovative solutions he developed. You’ve seen him on the cover of Time Magazine. Now discover how you, too, can expand the possibilities for your own art. Laugh as you learn with practical exercises to create your own specific plan.
Susan Taylor Glasgow evolved from a stained glass hobbyist into a national name in glass in 10 years. Represented by the most prestigious contemporary glass gallery in the United States (Heller Gallery, NYC), Susan discusses her “fast track” strategies and the necessity for artists to constantly evaluate their work in an ever-changing art market. With a BFA in Design from the University of Iowa, Susan lives and works in Columbia, Missouri. Learn how she put the pieces together to pave the way from Missouri to the Big Apple.
