Greetings, Everyone,

I'm writing to recommend:

Million-Dollar Marriage: Whirlwind Weddings

Some authors have an unusual way of pulling you into the story from almost
the first syllable. That was my experience with this very short book by
romance novelist Eva Rutland. There's a great sense of immediacy and even
intimacy that pulls you into the book and keeps you with it for the under
four hours at regular speed it will take to finish.

Melody Sands is a refreshing character indeed. She has grown up privileged,
but the money has never impacted her in that negative snobbish way so often
described in books where the main characters are people with money. She
seems wonderfully ordinary, a woman of grace and decency, one who is very
much down to earth, as they say-very practical in how she thinks.

On a busy morning, Melody agrees to help the housekeeping staff by running a
thermos of coffee out to a handsome young landscaper working on the grounds
of her father's estate. So ordinarily does Melody dress and act that poor
Tony Costello, the landscaper, assumes she is part of the secretarial staff
inside. He accepts the coffee, and thus begins a tender romance tinged with
humor with a modicum of frustration thrown in.

Tony is also instantly likable. His is a big, affectionate, boisterous
family-a family big on dreams but relatively low on cash most of the time.
Tony is clearly falling hard for Melody, but she never quite finds the right
time to tell him she isn't exactly the in-house secretary, but rather is
heir to the estate and the holder of a multi-million-dollar trust fund.
Therein lies the conflict in this romance.

This is well enough written that you'll cheer and hope and struggle with
both of these characters as they learn to cope with one another and with
their initially disparate lives. Incidentally, this book is up for
discussion tonight at the Accessible World site. It's way short, so you
still have time to grab it, give it a good read, and join the discussion.
