Hello All,

 

 

    For those traveling for the Board Meeting/Presidents'
Meeting/Legislative Seminar this weekend, I can recommend two good,
moderately-priced restaurants to consider: One is Summer's Restaurant,
located at 1520 North  Courthouse Road in Arlington.  Our NOVA Chapter met
there for nearly 20 years.  Joe, the owner, gives our chapter credit for
saving the place when powers that be wanted to close it and have a
MacDonald's instead.  The food is good barbecue, burgers, and real dinners.
Now it is a Sports Bar so we don't meet there, but it has been a favorite.
The other is Ted's Montana Grill, located at 4300 Wilson Blvd. next to the
Ballston Shopping Center.  It features very good and healthier bison burgers
and steaks and other real food at affordable prices.  These places are a
reasonable cab ride from the Hotel.  The best cab company in Arlington is
Red Top Cabs, phone 703 522 3333.  They take up to 4 passengers and charge
one dollar extra per passenger.  They are quick and reliable, but you may
have to wait a little longer on weekends.  Both these places have good beer
and wine choices too.  Looking forward to seeing you all.
