Hello all,

 

This is just a quick note to let you know why you continue to get the voicemail if you have tried to call the ACB office in Arlington, Virginia.  Unfortunately, our office remains closed due to the activities of Old Man Winter.  Many of the streets in the Washington DC Metro area are still covered in ice and snow.  Metro's bus and train service is still limited and where it is running, delays are reported.  And, best of all, we're awaiting the arrival of another storm later this afternoon.  It is expected to bring us another ten to twenty inches of the white stuff!  So, for now, we're hunkered down at home.  As soon as that changes, we will let you know.

 

In the meantime, please don't be dissuaded from leaving messages if you get voicemail.  Staff members are checking their voicemail and email messages from home, and responding as needed, so please feel free to leave messages if you need someone to get back to you.

 

Most of all, please do not put off getting yourself registered if you are planning to attend either the Presidents Meeting or the Legislative Seminar.  We know there are people who have booked rooms in the hotel but have not registered.  If you are one of those people, we need to hear from you so that we can insure that we have materials for you in your format of choice, and that you don't miss out on the wonderful meals we have planned for you during the Presidents Meeting and Legislative Seminar.  The registration form is on the ACB website.  If you have problems with it, you can contact Patricia by either sending an email to pcastillo at acb.org or calling the national office and leaving a message for Patricia in extension 2042.

 

I am hopeful that we will have gotten all of the snow out of the way by the time all of you arrive and that we will have a great time together.  The midyear meetings are less than two weeks away!
