Missouri readers have embraced BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) as an alternative to postal delivery of talking books. Here is an all to common email response from one patron:

 

"Cheryl...I am writing for my husband...We received the new digital player and are thrilled!!  Thank you to Wolfner and you for making this opportunity available!

 

I would like to request the 1GB blank cartridge and cable for downloading books from the BARD site..Thanks again!"

 

Wolfner Library now offers a 1GB blank cartridge and cable for Missouri readers wanting to download digital books from BARD to use with their new NLS player.

 

It is expected that BARD registration will increase with the upgrade of the NLS players to include a new "Bookshelf" feature that allows multiple books to be read on a single  blank cartridge or USB drive.
