Tracks to Success
How to Build a Successful Fundraising Team
Baseball has been used for over a century as a metaphor for many of
life's challenges. In this nine-part series, GrantStation CEO Cindy Adams
uses the baseball metaphor to help organizations learn how to better
manage community volunteers in order to expand and strengthen their
fundraising capabilities. This series focuses on transforming a dedicated
group of volunteers into a viable fundraising team. Click on the link
provided above to read the eighth article, "Tie Game, Top of the Ninth,
Game Seven of the World Series: Bringing in the Designated Hitter."
GrantStation Webinars Scheduled for September
Unless otherwise noted, all webinars are led by Cynthia M. Adams, CEO of
GrantStation, and scheduled to begin at 2 PM EDT. The registration fee
for webinars is $89 per person.
Are You Ready for a Capital Campaign?
It has been said that before a campaign can be successful, it must
succeed on paper. In this webinar, Linda Lysakowski will discuss the key
elements of the capital campaign plan: timeline, budget, and the campaign
cabinet. This session will also offer information on how to assess an
organization's internal and external readiness to conduct a campaign, as
well as the infrastructure needed to run a successful campaign board
involvement, staffing, technology, and the case for support. The webinar
will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Visit the link listed above to
register.
Free Tour of the GrantStation Website
Join Cynthia M. Adams for a free webinar that offers a short tour of the
GrantStation website. Learn how to use the tools that GrantStation
provides to help you identify the right grantmaker for any program or
project. If you've just joined GrantStation, this tour will help you
determine the most effective way to use the valuable resources the
website provides. If you haven't joined yet, this tour will help you
determine if a GrantStation Membership fits your needs. The webinar will
be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Visit the website listed above to
register. Please register early, as space is limited.
Positioning Your Organization for International Funding
In this webinar Terri Hasdorff will offer an overview on how to work with
internationally focused U.S. government agencies that fund overseas
programs. A number of topics will be addressed, including organizational
capacity building, registering your organization with USAID, and
accessing international grant funds efficiently and effectively. The
webinar will also provide information about various membership
associations that offer relevant resources for organizations working
abroad. There will be time allotted at the end of the webinar for
questions and answers from participants. The webinar will be held
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Visit the link listed above to register.
Using the Capital Campaign Feasibility/Planning Study to Strengthen Your
Organization
Not everyone who has been through a capital campaign feasibility/planning
study is clear on how valuable and effective the process can be. In this
webinar, Linda Lysakowski will help participants view these studies as a
unique opportunity to address major organizational issues that can help
them move forward, whether or not they proceed with a capital campaign.
The webinar will be held Monday, September 28, 2009. Visit the link
listed above to register.
