FYI
Beginning October 13, Metro will launch a series of transit planning
community workshops where the public will be asked to help create the
long-range vision of transit in the St. Louis region, and share their
ideas for imporving transit service and expanding the system.
Metro, in cooperation with the East-West Gateway council of Governments
and other key stakeholders, is creating a Long-Range Comprehensive Plan
to guide the development of public transit in the St. Louis region. This
comprehensive plan is intended to be a 30-year vision for how the transit
system can bolster the regional economy, improve customer service to the
community and establish operational excellence into the future.
To help guide the formation of this plan, Metro is asking community
leaders, elected officials, business owners and the general public to
take part in these community workshops and share their dieas on how to
evolve public transit in the St. Louis region.
You are welcome to submit suggestions. In the meantime, leisure,
residential, employment - areas where people rely heavily on public
transportation should plan to be involved in the planning in some way.
This is your chance to have your ideas and concerns heard to make things
better in the future.
