Jesus dares to look into the hardened faces of businessmen

    and the tired faces of housewives.

 

He gazes into the cynical stare of a banker 

    and into the disillusioned eyes of a preacher.

 

He focuses on the hungry eyes of a bartender

 

and makes this paradoxical promise to them .

 

    and to you ... and to me.

 

        "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

          for I am gentle and humble in heart,

          and you will find rest for your souls".        Matt. 11:29
