How do we prepare for life's end? It is a question we will all face
someday for ourselves and those we love. Many hospices exist today to help
families through a most painful process. At a time of intense emotion and
great sadness, how does one sift through possible options and choose the one
that will best suit his or her needs at such a critical time? Are hospice
services all the same? What red flags should one look for in making this
choice? Do they provide care or emotional support for family too? How long
can they be involved? Does involvement with Hospice mean death is emminent?
What are the myths of hospice?
Tonight Kasey Rippel will answer these and many other questions. She will
share stories of memorable patients who have helped make her job in
provider relations for Hospice of Tuscarwas, Stark, and Carroll Counties
here in Ohio such a rewarding experience.
Raised in Eastern Tennessee, Kasey has worked in Hospice for the past five
years. In her job in provider relations, she works in marketing, public
relations and financial development for existing and future programs, in her
agency. Kasey has an associate degree in chemical technology and a bachelor
degree in Health Science and Chemistry.
Join us for a discussion of a painful part of life that can be eased by
those who work in a field that has come to mean much to many families in
recent years.
You can join us by calling 218-844-3388 and putting in the pin code of
26657. Please come a few minutes before the start time of 8 p.M. eastern or
5 pacific. We ask that you mute your phone during the interview, but there
will be time for questions or comments during the second half. Please come
and share an hour with a lovely lady who has much to impart about a field
and people she loves.
