The St Louis situation is improving so we need to focus on KC and other areas.  The last call we had no one from KC and we cannot help if those in that area do not keep us informed.


Transit funds for Metrolink improvements

ST. LOUIS — Missouri will receive $41.7 million for transit projects in St. Louis.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Friday the money comes from the Federal Recovery Act aimed at boosting the economy and rebuilding the nation's infrastructure.

The funds will support improvements to the Metro light rail and bus system serving the St. Louis area, including neighboring Illinois.

The projects include structural repair to the historic Eads Bridge that links St. Louis across the Mississippi River to Illinois.

Others include track improvement throughout the Metrolink light rail system, and additional buses and passenger amenities at the North Hanley Bus Loop in St. Louis County.
