Bob Acosta, founder of www.radiooutofthepast.org and former schoolteacher
is our guest on this evening's Books And Beyond. Chosen as one of the five
outstanding men in California by the California Jaycees in 1969, Bob became
the first blind teacher there.

His devotion to helping others did not stop at the end of his teaching
career. For a number of years, with Pat Price and others, he has run
successfully the website accessibleworld.org.How was accessibleworld.org
founded? What is its mission? What events, symposiums, and presentations
does it provide? Where do new ideas come from? How have recent changes
affected future plans? At a time when Mr. Acosta could sit back and enjoy
the fruits of his labor, why is involvement in accessibleworld.org so
important?

Seldom do we have an opportunity to spotlight a man so dedicated to helping
a community. Bob Acosta is a man interested and committed to making the
world better and in increasing opportunities available for those of us in
the visually impaired community.

A past guest on Books And Beyond, he is a dynamic speakker who brings
enthusiasm to all he does.

You can come to tonight's show by calling
218-844-3388. Put in the pin code books or 26657and press the pound key and
you will be there to participate in the show. Come about ten before 8
eastern time so we can get acquainted before we begin. Although we ask that
your phone remain muted for the interview portion of the program, there will
be time for comments and questions from you when that half is complete.

Come tonight to hear a man passionate in his dedication and commitment to
helping others.
