- Salary: The salary range for this position is $30,552-$54,308 
per year

- Purpose of Position: To help blind/visually impaired 
individuals
obtain or maintain employment by providing vocational 
rehabilitation
services such as adjustment counseling, career assessment,
education/training, and job placement.
- Educational requirements: A Master's Degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, 
Social Work,
Mental Health, Special Education and/or Vocational Counseling is
required for this position.
- Experience: One (1) year counseling experience in Sociology,
Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, 
Special
Education and/or Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling is required 
for
this position.
- Statutory Citation: State Board of Education Rules 6.63.11
- Supplemental Skills/Abilities: If selected, incumbent with only 
a
Bachelor's Degree in one of these fields will have four (4) years 
to
attain a Master's Degree at the Commission's expense.
- Bargaining Unit Position: This position is covered by a 
collective
bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement 
apply
and must be adhered to.
- Working Environment: Work is conducted in an office setting, 
extensive
personal computer and phone usage.  Regular travel may be 
required.
