                        Howie Mandel, popular comedian and host of NBC's Deal or No Deal, to host our annual Hands On! Gala. 

                        The 2009 Gala takes place on October 16, and Howie will be on hand to perform and raise A Million Laughs for Literacy.

                        Braille Graffiti 

                             
                        Braille has been incorporated into a new artistic medium - graffiti. 

                        The link below connects to a YouTube video by Scott Wayne Indiana showing braille graffiti - one piece of which says, "You don't have to be blind to see that the writing is on the wall" (as in the photo above). The graffiti, in various phrases, is posted in various places in Portland, Oregon such as a city wall, lamppost, subway railing, and other public areas with an accompanying "Braille Graffiti" print label.
