[Missouri-l] Second Opportunity

Good Afternoon.

The most recent decision by the Personnel Committee to elect a sighted person to head up your blind organization is very sad to me.

Last summer, I applied and was interviewed for the Executive Director's position. I stated clearly that I was more than willing to relocate since I possess a history of doing that for specific employment reasons.

When I learned of this second opportunity I applied again. I have heard absolutely nothing from this committee.

To date I am aware of who distributed/leaked my confidential information and how that same information trickled down into the KC community. 

It was a very raw, very painful, nearly destructive to my personal, as well as to my professional, character.

However, since that time, I was very happy to have worked alongside of a couple of the names posted on a email that was circulated to certain MCB members. 

To this date I know that I would/could have been a very worthy director and would have treated that position with honor, respect towards our disability, worked very hard if not overtime, stayed focus for one common goal.

I hope the President and the committee's choice will present themselves with such attributes.
