Hello all. I'm writing to you all to ask you to urge your affiliate representatives to keep an open mind when they meet the E.D. applicant which the personnel committee has chosen. Blindness is not, and should not be a quallification. It is not fair
to base a decision on whether or not this man has vision. Truly I know nothing about the man, other than the information which has been sent to me. However, I very much look forward to having a chance to hear from him, and find out what as E.D. he might have to offer MCB. Not giving this applicant a chance could be the worst thing we could do. We might hear what he has to say and decide he is not an option, but please, please, make a choice after the interview. Affiliates have chosen their representatives to be their voice. They picked a person whom they could trust to make decisions that were in their best interest. Saturday, I ask that you allow your representative to vote for the best interest of you and the MCB as a whole. Don't force them to make a decision before they have a chance to do the interview.
Sincerely,
Linda C.
