Missouri Council of the Blind CONTINUING RESOLUTION 88-01

CONTINUING RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION 88-01
REGARDING BRAILLE CORRESPONDENCE

Whereas, blind people who read Braille would like to have letters and other communications sent to them in Braille; and

Whereas, the Braille Revival League of Missouri was organized to promote the use of Braille wherever practical; and

Whereas, the Missouri Bureau for the Blind is to be commended for sending out in Braille such information as positions available with the Bureau, and meetings being held by the Bureau:

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, by the Missouri Council of the Blind, Inc., in Convention assembled on this twenty-second day of October, 1988, in Joplin, Missouri that all organizations and agencies of and for blind throughout the state of Missouri, be urged and persuaded to use Braille in their communications with all those who read Braille;

Be It Further Resolved, that these agencies and organizations be further instructed to purchase or in some other way avail themselves of brailling equipment for this purpose; and

Be It Further Resolved, that if any organization can neither purchase nor arrange for use of brailling equipment, it should enlist the aid of voluhnteers to do the necessary writing.
